28th Anniversary of James Cook
Changing lives inspiring futures

We are celebrating the 28th Anniversary of James Cook by trying to reunite OYT North with some of the estimated 10,000 young people who have sailed on the boat since she was built and launched into the River Tyne in September 1987.

Tyne Tees Television visited James Cook and made a short film on the boat which was broadcast on Monday evening.  For those of you who missed it, you can see it by following the link: http://www.itv.com/news/tyne-tees/2012-10-01/james-cook-turns-25/

The news item was seen across the Tyne Tees area and has prompted several of the young people who have sailed during that time to get back in touch.

There is a page on our website covering the event: http://www.sailjamescook.com/about/25-years-of-sail-training which we will continue to develop as more people contact us.
